This year I brought back one of our old traditions and built gingerbread houses by scratch. I decided to make each kid their own and a bigger version for Hyrum and I. These were definitely a labor of love and by the end of the night it looked like a Christmas elf and threw up all over our kitchen. But the kids loved decorating their own and named each one. Tommy is Santa's trouble house fit with spy gear and cannons. Caroline is Santa's workshop fit with Santa on her chimney. Emily is candy creation. Katherine is I did it myself.
