Fall Time

The start of Fall has brought us sports, projects, produce, and adventures.  Sports is in full swing taking the majority of our time.  Tommy practices 5 hours a week and then game day on Saturday takes about 3 to 4 hours.  Caroline has soccer which takes away 3 hours of our week and gymnastics which takes away 2.  On top of those schedules we manage to get projects started that have been waiting for cooler weather, right now we are finishing off the back patio after it had been ruined by the previous owner (reinstalling soffits, tearing up old rotted cement boards, painting, etc.).  And I just finished canning 13 quarts of applesauce and dehydrating 4 batches of apples from our two trees.  We have to say "no" to a lot of other fun activities but our two favorites over the last couple of weeks were the Neilson's ranch and the Utah State Fair.  Hyrum's friend Josh invites us up to Kamas once a year for a day of horse back riding and this year only Hyrum and the girls could go.  Caroline loved it while the other two are still deciding.  Tommy's primary teachers are involved with the Utah State Fair and gave our family 8 free tickets to go.  We had so much fun and scored even more when a family leaving gave as a bunch of their leftover carnival ride tickets.  The highlight was definitely the free daily circus...it was amazing and so much fun!
