Our motto last year was "next year." Well "next year" is here and all of the projects we have been holding off on are piling up. We are slowly crossing items off our to do list and trying to find a balance of what to do ourselves and what not to do ourselves. First off our list was fix our backyard. It has always been muddy and soggy on the bottom level because the previous owners seeded. This project was awesome because we hired a landscaper to do it for us. They made the work look so easy but it would have taken us forever to do it ourselves. My favorite is the bark underneath the tramp, yeah, no more mud!
Next up is replacing all of the orchard grass in our lawn. The kids like to help find worms in the soil and use our make shift wheel barrel (the wagon) to haul stuff off with. Sometimes I really wonder if home ownership is really worth it!
