Spring Sports

Spring is here and that means sports, dance recitals, activities and lots of week nights where we are scrambling to get to all the places we need to be.  Today we accomplished Caroline's dance recital, Tommy's flag football game, and Caroline's soccer game.  Caroline will not be returning to Mrs. Melanie next year due to the driving distance and so it was extra sad to see her perform today.  I'm sure we will find a closer place to dance but thoughts of regret ran through my head like crazy today.  Caroline has progressed as a dancer and it was very fun to see her step out of her shell and it doesn't hurt to have both Grandmas there to show off to!

Caroline's soccer team dominates and I swear some of the kids should already be on comp teams.  She loves her team and loves to get into the action.  We love that Caroline's friend Annie was with us for dance and on our soccer team.

Poor Emily is just along for the ride and loves for me to take pictures of her instead of Tommy and Caroline.  Do you like how she is trying to imitate Caroline's dance pose?

Tommy had the choice this year to either do baseball or soccer and he choose soccer.  He loves playing goalie and loves to have "epic" goals.  He has the most powerful kick on his team and can pretty much get it down half the field.  He isn't the fastest though but he knows his strengths and plays smart, he lets the smaller boys dribble the ball and he runs beside them and defends them, I'm pretty sure is towering body scares some boys away!  It is fun to be on his friend Talmages team too!
