Goodbye Fitzers

Yesterday we started to remove the overgrown, huge, ugly fitzers that lined our front lawn.  The only positive they were good for was a natural fence to the road but other than that they were terrible.  Our neighbor Billy has been wanting to help us take them out forever and yesterday was finally the day.  We got all the roots popped up with the awesome rental excavator and half of the foliage to the dump.  Even though we got so much work done, the leftover pile is still humongous and makes me sick in the stomach to see how much more we still have to haul away!  The kids had a great day playing, watching, helping, and finding hidden treasure in the 50 year old bushes.
