Tommy and Caroline did a lot of recreation classes this summer. Tommy did ukulele, kids cooking, cake decorating, swimming club, and tennis. Caroline did swim lessons, diving, kids cooking, sewing, cake decoration, and tennis. It was so great to have them stay busy and happy over the long summer days but also to have our afternoons open to play. Cake decorating was one of their favorites, on the last day they got to decorate a whole cake!
This summer we finally took our kids to Lagoon and had a blast! On both days we had cousins join us. Tommy and Caroline surprised me the most and conquered all the rides. Emily and Katherine slowly worked up to the bigger little kid rides. Emily was the most improved and now says her favorite ride is Bombora. Katherine still likes to stay on the ground and just enjoy the people watching. On both days we stayed from opening to closing, they were long hot days!
On the coolest day in July we went to the zoo with the rest of the state of Utah. It was so so so crowded. We went to the bird show, the train, and the carousel and that's about it. The lines were epic and the stress level was so high that we only made it two hours.
