Its starting to be apple season here and the kids have loved helping pick the apples. It has reminded me so much of our time in Iowa visiting the apple orchard! So far we have made tons of applesauce, apple turnovers, and our new favorite dehydrated apples. It has been a long week in the kitchen. We love having established fruit trees in our yard and love getting boxes of fresh fruit from our neighbors! This week we also planted raspberries, an apricot tree, and a pear tree.
I have had a lot of moments lately where the kids set up activities by themselves for entertainment and it makes me smile that they are being creative without my help. Even though the mess afterwards is not that fun. I loved Katherine's use of toys for her couch table top snack!
