We just finished up a crazy busy Halloween week. The girls had their preschool parties and both dressed up as princesses. They had fun learning how to trick or treat and passing out candy to their classmates.
Next up was the big kids Halloween parade and class parties. Tommy was Donald Trump and Caroline as the Statue of Liberty. I was in charge of a game for Tommy's class and did a "Fear Factor" game. We had samplings of bugger and flea soup, fly guts, diaper of death, ghost powder, blood clots, bloody sardines, etc. The kids overall loved it although Tommy said I was banned from coming back because she about lost it tasting the bugger and flea soup (kiwis).
Next up was carving pumpkins and cupcake decorating with friends. The Yates family just moved into our ward and they have two babies like us. It is fun to have such a connection to relate to someone about. Having two kids 12 months apart is something that we definitely create a bond!
At finally at last, trick or treating. This time Emily wanted to be a zombie soccer player and Katherine wanted to be a scary princess. The kids got a hoard of candy and even with passing out full sized candy bars, we only got about 40 kids at our house (including our own).
